Early FC 27: new SBCs, token grinds and a PowerShot pump

TheFutAccountant posted a round-up of where FC 27 sits in its first weeks. Everything below is his read, not settled fact.

Squad building challenges are streamlined now. According to him you no longer have to match a fixed formation - submissions are scored, so a handful of high rated cards can clear a large part of a challenge instead of stacking cheap fodder. The player pick he showed had Rodrigo Mora and Pedro Goncalves.

Gallery Tokens are pulling people into collections, and he says some are buying Icons at 900k to 1 million coins to finish one. His advice for smaller clubs: skip the expensive names, complete small collections from smaller clubs - Deportivo Alaves was his example - and let tokens add up that way.

PowerShot Plus is being called the new meta. He thinks it is a pump and dump: PowerShot already worked well late in FC 26 and it is not a glitch, but prices moved anyway.

• By his numbers, Valverde went from 370k to 450k coins.
• Khloe Kelly went from 21k to 47k.
• His workaround is cheap cards with good Shot Power and Long Shots - he named Lindsay Horan - instead of paying the hyped price.

On the pitch he still rates pace above everything (Alyssa Thompson at 93), and says manual defending got a buff that makes interceptions harder, which is why he is holding Conrad Laimer for Jockey Plus. His summary: no meta dominates yet.

Sunday brings Squad Battles rewards. Supply spikes, so he treats it as bidding time rather than buy-now time - his own position was Mohamed Salah at 18k coins, expecting a TOTW card after the hat-trick.
